Connie Dummer, MA, LP, LMFT, RPT-S

Connie Dummer Therapist

Clinical Expertise

Connie has extensive experience working with trauma survivors, including individuals who have endured physical or sexual abuse, early childhood trauma, or complex relational wounds. She is also specially trained to work with police officers, first responders, veterans, and active-duty military, offering trauma-informed care that is sensitive to the unique stressors of high-intensity professions.

Grounded in a strong Christian faith, Connie is comfortable integrating spirituality into therapy when clients desire it, always within a respectful and nonjudgmental framework.

Connie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help reduce symptoms such as intrusive memories, nightmares, and emotional reactivity. She also works with adults, families, and children, and has been a Registered Play Therapist since 2004, now holding the designation of Registered Play Therapist–Supervisor (RPT-S).

Connie joined the Family Attachment & Counseling Center in 2008. Her work aligns closely with the agency’s mission of supporting individuals whose early life experiences continue to interfere with their ability to form healthy, secure relationships.

Connie’s goal is to walk alongside clients with warmth, understanding, and expertise, helping them process what has happened, reclaim their sense of identity, and build the kind of relationships and future they desire.
