Welcome

We believe in the power of relationships. Relationships with parents, children, spouses, peers, the Divine and even ourselves have an immense impact on an individual's holistic health. Our practice builds upon this philosophical base. We work with adults, couples, families and children in improving relationships and building on existing strengths.

Services

We offer a full range of mental health services, with a special emphasis on services for children. We offer traditional therapy for children and adults.

Our Family Attachment Narrative Therapy program is designed for children whose development has been compromised by early life trauma and attachment relationship difficulties.

Classes for Parents and Kids

Helping Little Hearts to Heal

This is a 5 week class for pre-school aged children and their parents. Questions? Contact Jane. Download a flyer for more information.

Training in Attachment and Narrative Therapy

We offer distance and onsite training opportunities. The First Steps for Strengthening Adoptive Families Study Program includes a DVD, Study Guide, and opportunities to earn continuing education credits.

Publications

We offer two publications about narrative therapy, adoption and trauma resolution. Click below to learn more.

Connecting with Kids through Stories: Using narratives to facilitate attachment in adopted children

Parenting with Stories: Creating a foundation of attachment for parenting your child

Continuing Education Statement

The First Steps for Strengthening Adoptive Families program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (provider # 886487338) for up to 5.5 continuing education contact hours. Other professionals may be eligible to count the First Steps for Strengthening Adoptive Families DVD and Study Guide program toward required continuing education hours. Requirements vary from state to state and between licensing boards, so we cannot guarantee that your licensing board will allow you to count the time.
